Ok, so the schedule is waaay off, but I am working on it. The lunches are happening, it’s more of a problem of writing them all out in more than simply a question and answer format which is how they are drafted now. Also got it set up for some (low def) video and pictures finally. Hopefully the first one will be up soon…

The first lunch post is coming up – admittedly takes a bit more time to write up than I originally expected. Not to mention I’ll want to review it at least once to make sure its more readable than me simply reporting our lunch conversation in the equivilent of a monotenous tone. The first lunch will be up before the end of this week, and a few additional lunches have been scheduled as well. Looks like we’re hitting on about one a week right now, which I think is a good pace to get started. It will also give me time to get some feedback and critism and make sure that the conversations I find interesting convey.
As always, open to suggestions – Lunch@LunchADay.com

So, today is the day of the first Lunch A Day lunch. There are quite a few more schedule, and frankly it is a bit more difficult to schedule these lunches around work than I’d expected, so the schedule may be a little less frequent than originally hoped. None the less, first one today!
Also, there will be an event calendar loaded to the site sometime this week, to provide an at-a-glace view of when and who’s lunches are upcoming.
And as always, if you know someone who may be a good fit for lunch sometime, let me know. Lunch@LunchADay.com.

WJFK - Mornings with the Junkies
As you may have heard, Lunch A Day was brought up on the Junkies this morning on WJFK here in DC. I used to work with those guys while I was at CBS and still keep in touch with a lot of people there, including JP Flaim. I didn’t expect him to bring it up on the air, but its cool that he did. You can check out the podcast at WJFK here, or link directly to the podcast here – http://www.wjfk.com/pages/1460207.php.
JP and I are finding some time to grab lunch, and I’ll post more about the Junks then as well. Knowing the other guys, the only one I would expect to maybe take me up on this would be Cakes. Although EB could definitely rant about some poker, and Lurch’s interview I could probably write without him. We’ll see what happens – if you heard the show let me know what you think.

So we’re looking at the turn of the year for our actual launch, but we have the opening questions prepared. I’m taking a page from my fraternity’s book. To get to know the older brothers we would have a handful of interviews each week, and use a few basic questions to get the conversation rolling. That will be the point of these. They aren’t the interview, just a way to get the conversation rolling, and a way to help show the similarities and differences between the people who have been interviewed.
1. Name
2. Age (If they care to.)
3. Greatest success in life thus far?
4. Greatest failure or mistake thus far?
5. Advice you would have given yourself when you were 16?
6. Best piece of advice you would give anyone?
7. Most important thing in your life?
8. Favorite books?
9. Favorite movies?
10. Favorite quotes?
11. Favorite songs?
We’ll then get into more of the open discussion of the interview. The closing will include some basic info if they care to disclose it. Where they work, favorite website, personal website and if they care for it, a picture of them.
If you have any questions you’d like to see answered, email them to Lunch@LunchADay.com.

The Noble Owl: Often Considered A Symbol of Wisdom
If you’d like to know what Lunch A Day is all about, please click here. Essentially I plan to take someone to lunch, as frequently as possible, and listen to their advice. It may be on work and careers, love, life, sports, whatever knowledge they care to share. This site will stand as a long lasting testimony of that wisdom.
Interviews will start around the beginning of the new year and will be posted on the date they occur. For starters expect two to three post per week, with a few editorial post strewn between them. Some weeks may be more, and some weeks may have less.
And, if I’ve sent you this page as a link to explain why I want to have lunch with you, then now you know! I’d like to learn from you, and I think the rest of the world can learn as well. Lunch is on me, whaddya say?
